Hardwick & Co., a proud staple in American-made menswear, is seeking a driven and experienced General Store Manager to lead our retail team in Cleveland, TN. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee store operations, inspire a high-performing team, and ensure outstanding customer experiences in a heritage brand setting.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
• Hours: 30–40 per week
• Work Location: On-site in Cleveland, TN
• Schedule: Flexible, evenings/weekends off available
• Training Provided

Key Responsibilities:

– Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise, coach, and motivate store staff to meet sales and service goals

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and staff development sessions

• Maintain a positive, customer-focused store culture

– Customer Experience & Service Excellence

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service

• Resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction across all touchpoints

• Uphold store presentation standards and ensure a welcoming environment

– Store Operations

• Manage daily store functions including scheduling, opening/closing, and cleanliness

• Oversee inventory control, merchandising, and visual presentation

• Enforce loss prevention practices and ensure operational compliance

– Business Performance & Reporting

• Track and analyze KPIs and sales data to identify opportunities for growth

• Submit regular sales and operational reports to company leadership

• Support local marketing initiatives to build community engagement and foot traffic

– Technology & Systems

• Operate POS systems and retail software

• Ensure transaction accuracy and train staff on system use

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in retail or store management

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Knowledge of inventory control and loss prevention procedures

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

• Must be able to commute to or relocate to Cleveland, TN

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field

• Previous managerial experience in apparel or specialty retail

• Strong customer service background
