Love Nancy provides respite support to caregivers and their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease, progressive memory impairments and special needs. Our third annual Wine for the Mind will be held at The Coffey Barn in Cleveland on Friday, Oct. 20. The fundraiser will benefit the programs of Love Nancy, including Love Nancy CAREavan Program, Fun with Friends and Memory Makers. CAREavan was launched in December 2014 following a successful pajama drive, Pajamas for Your Mama, in April 2014. CAREavan is a semiannual program that provides care packages and a social hour for caregivers and their loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease and progressive memory impairments. Care packages include pajamas, slippers, socks, fleece blankets and toiletries. Fun with Friends was launched in 2016. Fun with Friends provides respite opportunities to young adults with special needs that include employment services, volunteer opportunities, physical fitness and social activities. At Wine for the Mind, our fundraising activities will include a live and silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Food by Café Roma and Randy Steele & Friends will perform. We anticipate 200-230 guests to attend.
