WHAT IS JA IN A DAY? JA in a Day is an intensive, high-impact event in which volunteers partner with schools to give our local students the tools they need to be financially capable, tenacious and equipped with the tools to manage risk effectively, solve problems creatively and welcome opportunity in an increasingly complex modern economy. The JA program you will present is called "It’s My Future" and will be taught to all seventh-grade classes at Cleveland Middle School. JA's "It’s My Future" provides practical information about preparing for the working world. Students learn about career clusters, high-growth jobs, career planning and creating a personal brand. Through a scavenger hunt, they are introduced to the basic aspects of job hunting. It’s a unique opportunity for #JAHero volunteers from our region’s leading companies and organizations to share their abilities, ambition and life experiences with the next generation of kids who will one day rule our board rooms, make discoveries, lead our nation and change our world.
